A comforter (in American English), next known as a doona in Australian English,[1] or a continental quilt (or conveniently quilt) or duvet in English, is a type of bedding made of two lengths of fabric or covering sewn together and filled past insulative materials for warmth, traditionally the length of or feathers, wool or cotton batting, silk, or polyester and other the length of alternative fibers. subsequent to quilts, comforters are generally laid higher than a top bed sheet (and sometimes with blankets).
